130629-30 Cosmake Event

there was a mall event at lotte, in cheongryangri where cosmake was introduced to the public in conjunction with lotte mall sponsors. since CSL was in charge of cosmake, we went down to display our costumes and performed to the public.

set up of the area before the public comes in

our members had to stand in front of these background and pose/take pictures with the public.

the turn out wasn't great, lots of little kids appeared and i think somehow we should have had more characters wearing cute costumes than scary armours (it scared most of the kids away lol). we had 2 performances on sat and another one on sun.

here's me and my darling doing jayce. our music couldn't work the next day so we had to perform alongside some random music. it was really weird. oh well.

junku also managed to come down - it's been so long since we last met! he's now a growing actor. that day was also the first day his drama will be aired, called 'I Want to Get Married'. however i haven't been able to find it. seems he only appears after episode 7 or 9 though, can't remember. since he will be starring as a cultured prince, he didn't have any chance to flaunt his martial arts. so sad. so he took this chance to do a temp shinigami and showed us a few stunts. still maintaining well, i must say! we had drinks together post event, it was a pretty fun night! though we didn't drink till 3am like the others (had to go back to recuperate for the next day), it was still a worthwhile night.

sunday was actually more interesting since there were other teams down as well for competition. i spotted our pretty member (cos from Aion) and took pictures with her hahahhaha

and this is like the 4th time i'm in saber cos. though for waky, it's much more....!

sailormoon topped the competition, seems that it's difficult to compete with a classic series~ we packed to get ready to go, and all our stuff was shipped off in a HUGE truck. like those meant for moving house. whoa. didn't eat with the team though cos they wanted kfc, so i went with 00 for ramen instead. tee-hee.

130628 Sungkyunkwan Graduation ceremony

i had an oral test just after the dinner with my family, and only got to study it a bit at night. then i skipped the lessons after the test and went to have lunch with my family and send them off.

the next day though, was my test and i practically spent my whole day shopping and only managed to cram a bit of work in. but i didn't score too badly. the only terrible results i had was my Korean Conversational skills, because i skipped a test due to my Philippines trip, which was probably worth 50%. oh well. that actually pulled my entire grade down badly. not that i can't graduate still. hahah.

our last day in school was spent talking and eating in classroom.

we had a good conversation with our teachers over coffee too, with 3 classes altogether. you might wonder how we squeeze so many people in the cafe, but with 3 classes, only less than 10 of us turn up for the last day, so we could all fit a table in the cafe.

and then on friday was our graduation ceremony. since i skipped the last one, i decided turn up for this first and last graduation in SKK. the front part of it was pretty boring, just prize giving, graduates naming and speeches, but the performance at the back was really entertaining! i like the drama play of the woodcutter and the fairies, where they twisted the story so much it was hilarious.

the person who acted as the tree and superman was really funny!

last part where they did the gentlemen dance
the other reason why i had to show up too was cos i had a singing performance since i attended the karaoke cultural class =_= thankfully it's group singing and nope, i have no videos of it!!! there was also an half an hour movie put together by the sixth graders, which is really well-made!

and lastly, photo spams of people who made studying here interesting and unforgettable. starting with my favourite teachers!

Ms Lee Seung Ah, our form teacher for grade 4, who helped with greatly with my surgery. not kidding, but i'll probably have bled to death if i didn't chance upon her. i love all your lessons, you're such an amazing teacher!

Ms Kim Mi Jeong, my form teacher for grade 5. thanks for visiting me while i was in hospital and always being so concerned over my health, even buying me a cute cat seat to save my butt from the misadventures. the only reason i ever go to the final few karaoke classes was because i don't want you to weep at home with your puppy the next semester! i enjoyed your classes, you're such a dramatic and funny teacher.

Ms Ju, my essay and listening teacher. all the cute stamps you gave for my essays were encouraging, it's sad that we only got to know each other during the last few classes! while i didn't have a great impression at the beginning, i find that you're a teacher who grows on me, and you're really very pretty!!

and my classmates in 4th grade: the smart people of our classes - jisu, my first friend in SKK : >, jo eok, the shy but intelligent guy. didn't expect you to act as iron man in the woodcutter show, well done!, tabassum.

tabassum - amazing lead in the woodcutter drama! you were the most awesome class rep, who made efforts to make our classes interesting. don't get too stressed over studying and you'll do just fine!

dear heju - i didn't manage to hook you up with our team leader, but i bet you'll find a better guy back in america!

wang shigi - my pretty classmate for 5th grade as well, thank goodness there was someone i know sitting beside me. i'm sure you'll do well as a future female leader with all the tenacity you have!

younggeoul - no one can forget your name after they watch fashion king. you have the most female squeaks i know. here's a person who shares my joy in having toast and milk for breakfast!

and here's classmates from my 5th grade - iyeom, juan, soyoung and shigi. iyeom is the smartest girl in our class... and juan, our male class rep from malaysia, who turns up class laughter a notch every time. don't gay too much with the guys and i'm sure the girls will love you more!

yohan who is always skipping class with a variety of reasons. don't touch juan so much!!

little cute wanggun

so young, who has excellent drawing skills. wish i could buy that dbsk fan art book you drew... it's really awesome!

bombi, the tallest guy in our class. i think your name is so cute. hahah and the acting in our conversational class was hilarious!

salamander, who i got to have lunch with a couple of times, and could have a good chat over with. the only person who knows about my problem too, heh. i'll see you when you come to singapore!

glad to have know everyone of you, and may we see each other somewhere, someday, sometime in the near future again!

130623 Family Visit

my family came over to visit in the middle of june and went over to jeju too. i was only able to look for them on sunday. they were staying at prince hotel in myeongdong, a very big and comfortable place and i went over to tongpang. hohoh.

it's practically an apartment, complete with a living room.

there's tvs outside and in the bedroom as well.

2 big beds and cabinets

huge washroom

i took them to hyehwa to walk around and had pat bingsu at a cafe. shouldn't have ordered 3, these were HUGE.

passed by a few pretty neat restaurants.

slept over and woke up at 7am for school. it was much nearer from here to SKK than from Yongin. i actually got off school early but i took the wrong bus to jamsil and eventually took 3 hours to reach when it should have just taken 1. decided to try the bus to Sadang but took it in the wrong direction T_T

when i reached lotte, everyone else was already waiting. since my family wanted to meet mr k, i asked him to come down too. and my dad had cravings for fried chicken for days, so mr k bought 2 boxes of kyochon chicken over.

we had dinner at ashley's and it was just a like a big family reunion. kekekek.

130615 Olympus LOL event

just the weekend when we returned, we had an advertising event for olympus at a local exposition hall. didn't cosplay but went over to help instead. THANKFULLY. it's actually a job for CSL, where LOL characters were required to pose and take pictures with fans. i was wondering what's the link with olympus and LOL but turns out it's just sponsor relationship.

we reached around 11+ just in time for lunch. hehe.

so here's the stage where they're supposed to stand at for like 40mins-1hr before a 15mins break comes in. kinda tough. can't imagine being under the hot sun for such a long time in armour. seriously, they could have thought of a better position than just right next to the sheltered area, so that the cosplayers don't need to suffer the sunlight??? sometimes i feel organisers don't really take care of cosplayers welfare.

at about 3-4+ our jayce made an entrance, cosplayed by ark. he didn't move at all during the entire time! thought he might have fall asleep inside. mordekaiser was done by param instead of neutan in the first picture. he's really good at it! heh. (by the way the guy in the middle kept taking lots of our pictures. power of csl fan)

there were actually other cosplayers around too, who turned out to be param's friend.

after the tiring day, we went to have bbq at a nearby restaurant.

what's special about this is that you get to wrap it! using this transparent hard thingy which turns soft in hot water.

then we went for a 2hour ktv session. it's like only 2000 won per person. so cheap!

video clips of some of our members singing... not so bad!

prince skasha with his japanese song.

our tallie neutan with his romantic korean number.

and er, honestly, waky has the most entertaining song. lol!!!! i don't know what he's singing!!!
lolololololol and why's everyone falling asleep! though waky's doing something really cranky again.

and ark overreacted when a sad song was being sung. the whole group was half laughing and crying, it was so hilarious!!

i think everyone went sort of crazy at the singing session.

we took the train to gangnam and chanced by this 'so spicy it makes you tear' chicken, and the guys absolutely wanted to try.

it seriously made me tear... with like less than 1cm of the meat. i don't know how mr k can take it!!!

we managed to catch the last bus home after missing about 4-5 of them while trying to locate ark's lost phone. poor boy, i hate losing my phone too... didn't manage to find it in the end though :(

still, it was a great day!

Philippines Day 4: US Navy Warship

we got up like really late... and only managed to finish packing by 11+. however we had to keep waiting for i'm not sure what so in the end we got to the place by 12+ and only managed to have a tour after that.

it was awesome we managed to meet the people in charge of the warship during our after party on our second day, so we called them up and were brought to a trip within the ship.

i wasn't in cosplay so it was still fine for me but poor niti and prangawee were in their armour since we left the hotel and wore it till the end. i really take my hat off these 2, there were like narrow passageways and steep staircases, but the 2 got through everything, in their armour!!!!

so i'm gonna just keep spamming photos since i kinda missed some explanations on what the different areas are for.

but of cos, this is obvious that it's the kitchen and restaurant area. kekek.

then we slowly got out to the deck.

hoho niti's karas is so cool here

and there's a cannon!

me and eki is just normal...

but see what the guys are doing... hahaha.

the last stop was at the steering area, where we got to sit in the captain's seat!

our leader and the 2 handyman.

and all of us at the deck!

after that we waited at the restaurant while the guys brought the costume over. we also bade farewell to the thais as they went off for their afternoon flight.

as it happens, it was raining so when the guy came they were pretty drenched. and i was stuck in the toilet for more than half an hour, so no inkling of what's happening outside. i do know that a long queue built up outside the toilet and i came out all flushed. x_x

we took about an hour or so to prepare, and i turned photog for the day, shooting for kyungmin and eki since riyo was sending the thais off. jayce couldn't make it because it was missing the stick for the weapon. it was really a waste T_T after all that chionging in the night to repair and 2 days without sleeping... GOSHHH one stick is all it takes to destroy the effort. sighs.

we ended the shoot around 5+ as the deck was closed then and it was around dinner time for the people, so we had to get out quick. we went to a neat little cafe for the most awesome dinner!

the most expensive thing on the menu, pepper steak and garlic steak...

here's my salmon with mango sauce.. looks like meat!

and pasta that christine ordered.

and the great spanish pizza that niti ordered - yep the thais came back for dinner because they missed their flight. was kinda expected though since they left at 2 and their flight was 4 and there was heavy rain.... oh well, more philippines time!

after dinner, we took a taxi to our hotel to collect our things, then bus over to manila and taxi to the airport. complicated routes. and we arrived just 1hour+ before our flight at the new airport. thank goodness it was new so christine, riyo and liui could send us off inside. we quickly checked in everything and rushed all the way to boarding gate and made it just in time!

and here's ... breakfast?

touched down at around 6+am but because the foreigner's queue is so bloody long i took an hour to check out. and it was time to go school =_=
